In the first stage all the medical staffs which includes doctors, nurses, medical officers, paramedical staffs etc. i.e. people who were involved in treatment of Covid 19 infected patients or were involved in Covid-19 related research will be vaccinated. Along with this front line workers will be vaccinated (Army, Air force, Navy, Coastguards etc.). Apart from these home guards, municipal workers and state police are also included as all mentioned have played a key role in maintaining law and order in course of the pandemic.
Senior Citizens i.e people of age 50 or more will be highly prioritized in the vaccination process. Same goes for vaccination of citizens who are less than 50 but, are suffering from diseases like hypertension, diabetes, cancer and lung diseases etc.
Where vaccination will occur ?
Even distribution of the vaccine will be an important aspect as it will be hectic and very difficult if the vaccine is available in certain location of the country only. That's why for even distribution the government has planned to provide the vaccine in the nearest locality of the receiver's residency.
For health care workers the vaccination will be done around the specified Pvt. and Government hospitals and healthcare centers. For front line servicemen the vaccine will be made available in the location of their service. Citizens will be vaccinated as per the appointment received in these localities i.e Schools, community hall, Gram panchayat and places owned by municipal corporation.
Mobile or vehicle teams are also being introduced to the vaccination process.
